The Advanced Shipping module in Seradex ERP allows the user to pick BOM (bill of material) items such as sub-assemblies and ship them independent of the parent part number. In most shipping systems you can only select a parent item to appear on the packing slip. This can be problematic for many manufacturing or construction companies.

In many industries the product can be shipped in pieces to be assembled on site. It becomes time consuming to track, which items are in which box, which box is on which skid and what remains to be shipped. In this environment items can get lost or displaced requiring additional shipments. Your customers will frequently dispute charges and shipping costs for these items.
