From the Search Designer screen, select a field that you wish to use to display the custom format text or symbol. In the example CustRefNo field will be used.
The first step is to enter an Alias for this field. As you can see alias named “Evaluation_” has been entered for the field CustRefNo.
Scroll over to the right. For the row that contains the field CustRefNo my Format (Custom Format) has been selected and Sales Analysis Custom Format was created.
For the Format Evaluation Field, we select SubTotal. The Format Evaluation Field will show a listing of fields in the Base Query that can be used for evaluation against the criteria setup in the Custom Format.
In the example so far the system has been told to evaluate the SubTotal field from the Base Query against the criteria setup in the Custom Format named Sales Analysis Custom Format and display the result in the CustRefNo field which has an alias of Evaluation_.
